During the day Barry Coco and Jason Panvelle, owners of CP Enterprises, are custom homebuilders doing what they enjoy–providing exceptional construction products at very reasonable prices. However, once the tools are put away, both men assume new roles as firemen at Washington Parish Fire District #1.

For the last 10 years each has felt the necessity to provide some extra service to his community. “It’s all part of the payback and we just want to help,” Barry once noted. In addition to the 10 hours they spend at the firehouse each week, Barry also sits on the District Board and Jason on the Volunteer Board.

Aside from putting out fires and rescuing victims of car wrecks, both men have performed Search & Rescue operations in the woods on horseback looking for missing children. They’re also regular participants and sponsors at local rodeo events. With two Belgian horses and 5 quarter horses they raise on 18 acres of prime farm land, they similarly enjoy attending parish fairs with their Belgians and demonstrate farming techniques to young and old alike.
